   Fascinating case. Maddux has always been considered one of the nerdier, more pragmatic players of this generation, but he never had the facial hair or hair to really seal the deal. Consider it sealed. Also, consider quitting the free NAMBLA membership that came with that moustache.

   Agreed. Maddux has been universally recognized as baseball’s preeminent nerd for decades, but we lacked photographic evidence to justify that title.

   Until now.

   I don’t know, I think Maddux looked cooler in this pic than he ever did. Looks like the hipsters i walk by on the Lower East Side.

   I agree with Nerdstradamus. Maddux does look cooler than usual in this photo, even if he does look a bit like a kiddie-toucher. I’d need to review some photos, but my recollection is that Maddux looked nerdy well into the ’90s, which is an anomoly in the world of Nerd Baseball.
