The 70 & 71 cards of Phillies pitcher Lowell Palmer have really stuck with me all these years. I remember saying "How can blind man pitch in the major leagues?"This may have contributed to his 5-18 lifetime record.

I also remember Braves announcer Ernie Johnson talk about former Yankee reliever Ryne Duren whose lively fastball, coke bottle glasses and complete lack of control contributed to high career strikeout & walk totals.

As a Braves fan I remember Jamie Easterly.
He was a pretty good hitter for a pitcher.
Unfortunately, he was a pretty bad pitcher for a pitcher.

I assume Mr. Easterly is gazing at his big rig, waiting for the season to end so he can get back to his true love of long haul trucking.

Also, I forgot about the '84 Topps cards, where they tried to make up for a crappy feature photo by providing a slightly less crappy headshot.
