Bill Buckner’s Hair

While not a nerd per se, I had to post this card in order to share what is possibly the strangest facial hair/body hair in baseball card history:

buckner-billCan there be an explanation for the disparity between left-side-mustache and right-side-mustache?  And I don’t know how to properly address the pattern of neck hair.  We’ve all seen pictures of Mr. Buckner before, and he has always looked like a normal guy…so what happened here?

    That is truly disgusting.

    Dr. Nerd: any ideas on what sort of strange body hair disease is afflicting Mr. Buckner in this photo?

    Also, what’s that white thing on his right arm?

    I think this was a self-serving attempt to start a neckstache trend, and I don’t blame him for trying. Can you imagine having to shave that thing each morning?

    I don’t know what it’s called, but his condition is usually associated with a really big wang.
