In 1976 Mr. Collins became the first batter in Seattle Mariners history.  He scored the first run in Mariners history, also.

    Collins is the fastest nerd ever, swiping 395 career bags, including 79(!) in 1980.

    Also, there’s a new glasses-wearing big leaguer in town – Eric Sogard of the A’s.
